SingleDish: One Let’s Dish! Meal, A Life-Changing Experience

SingleDishWe’ve heard from a lot of folks who want to experience Let’s Dish! before stocking the freezer with a whole month’s worth of meals. Personally, my suggested strategy is to get invited for dinner at the home of a disher (talk about saving time and money!). And there’s always the Ready Made case, where you can purchase Let’s Dish! deliciousness one meal at a time. But that doesn’t give you the full experience… preparing the meal to your own personal tastes, the snacks, the in-store fun.

That’s why we introduced SingleDish. You (or a friend) can spend 15 minutes making any one meal (OK, call it 16 - to account for scone-eating time), and see what all the excitement’s about. And you can always add on an extra meal (or 7) from our monthly menu while you’re there!

You know you’re a new mom when…

We’ve enjoyed meeting and seeing a lot of new moms in all our Let’s Dish! stores this week thanks to our special FREE Meals for New Moms promotion. Here’s one funny story from a new mom’s “freezer experience” in our Gaithersburg, MD, store. Thanks for sending it in, Dawn!

A mom stopped by today with her baby and birth certificate, and when she got ready to leave she couldn’t find the birth certificate. Eileen (our customer service manager) and I helped her look for it and it turned up in the retail freezer! We all laughed that the incident was proof she is a new mom - only a sleep deprived mom would forget the birth certificate in the freezer! As she left, she said she can keep up with her baby but can’t be responsible Dawn Brownwith anything else.

I thought you might enjoy hearing about how we are helping new moms!!

Make a meal plan and avoid the 5 PM scramble.

Ah, “The 5PM Scramble”. You know the drill. Busy day. Kids getting hungry. Haven’t thought at all about dinner. What’s in the fridge? Do we have any leftovers? Is there time to stop by the grocery store? Honey, can you pick something up on the way home? Any pizza coupons around here?!

Plan your meals and write them down on a calendar. By having a plan, you will know what to buy at the store, what to take out of the freezer each day, and you will be less likely to stop for fast food on the way home.
