It’s very satisfying to have a clean kitchen at the end of the day. When everyone helps it gets done much faster. Here’s a simple tip to make kitchen clean up a snap:

Break down kitchen clean-up by using a garbage bowl for table scraps and paper napkins and stack similar dishes in the sink with running water. Put all silverware to soak in a small ceramic flower pot in a corner of the sink. With dishes organized in this manner, it will be a breeze to load the dishwasher (easy enough for a child!).

I also like this Resolution Solution because it applies the same thinking that we apply to dishing - break down meal preparation into small steps, organize your ingredients, proceed in a logical order, and voila… dinner is done! Then, Let’s Dish! dinners are so easy to clean up. I love the ones that go right on the grill or into the oven. Those make for a really quick clean up!

We got one other organizer tip that takes quick clean up one step further:

If you are having a really stressful week, there is nothing wrong with paper plates and cups. Dinner cleanup is easy, and you don’t have to worry about the dishes piling up in the sink.

Now that’s simplicity!
