I love Let’s Dish!, we have used you in the past when going on vacation with friends so instead of having to plan for meals we pre-pack them and enjoy time together instead of time in the kitchen.

As we head into MLK weekend, you may have a little extra free time.  We thought this tip was a good one to post today - you might get some ideas for the long weekend!

Even as an co-owner of Let’s Dish!, it wasn’t until 3 summers ago I brought Let’s Dish! on vacation with me. I dished the food in advance, froze everything and put it in the cooler the morning we left. We arrived at our rental home about 7 hours later, the food was still frozen but starting to thaw so I placed everything in the fridge except for things that went from frozen. That night we had a “Go from Frozen” meal.

The rest of the vacation was perfect - I truly felt like I was on vacation as we never had to think about “What’s for Dinner?” and we concentrated on what we wanted to do instead. We have never gone out to eat on vacation over the last 3 years because it is just too easy at the house!

Now here is a little extra something for any vacation or even at home:

Keep Frozen
Frozen S’Mores

 A Sure Bet for Kids
What you need: Graham Crackers, chocolate ice cream, marshmallow topping.  (You and the kids can prepare these in advance or make it a fun after dinner activity.)

1. Let the ice cream soften just a bit.
2. Take 2 graham crackers and place a scoop of ice cream on 1 half.
3. Add a scoop of the marshmallow topping.
4. Place the other graham cracker on top.
5. Place back in freezer to harden.
6. Enjoy with a tall glass of milk.

Lisa’s Signature

p.s.  This will be an especially fun treat to enjoy as the snow melts away!
